Sonja Salzano already had this concept for the kitchen philosophy in mind over 25 years ago. With the construction of the spa area in 2013, she finally wanted to fulfill her long-standing dream. The whole family also put a lot of heart and soul into the alpine spa area. Lots of wood, including old wood, natural materials, stones, hay, pine wood, grain, herbs, warm, calm colors and many small details characterize our Salzano SPA. Every little detail, every shade of color comes from our hand.
So it was obvious to go in the same direction with the cuisine. Nature at your fingertips and tranquillity in the SPA and culinary delights on your plate. The response from our regular guests was more than positive – in fact, they encouraged us to continue. They have a longing for nature, which becomes tangible in the meal(s)

In the SALZANO Sunset Lounge – enjoy the most beautiful sunsets in Interlaken!
Indescribably beautiful moments that go straight to the soul – a cocktail or a glass of wine in your hand as you watch the setting sun, first in delicate shades of pink, until the sky is on fire before the sun gently and quietly separates from us at the foot of the Stockhorn.
Toast once more with friends, laugh and rejoice until the night slowly approaches with its blue band of stars and only the soft tinkling of the grazing cows can be heard.

Parties for up to 36 people are best celebrated in our Stübli.

The Piccolo Bar
Enjoy convivial moments with friends over a fine cocktail or a cool, fresh draught beer. The “Piccolo Bar” is a cozy meeting place for an aperitif, to get in the mood for dinner or for a Rugenbräu whisky as a digestif. Round off an eventful day in the Bernese Oberland here with a nightcap.
From November, we will be expanding our Piccolo Bar into a modern lobby with a trendy bar. A place to linger and enjoy cool drinks, fine wines and delicious cocktails – a style that perfectly suits our hotel. This new facility will impress with a generous window front and a breathtaking view of the majestic north face of the Eiger.
We are delighted to be able to give you a taste of this exciting change now. As always, the Salzano family is responsible for every detail of the design. Drawing ideas, creating collages, discussing until it doesn’t work anymore, discarding again, then changing again… Update 30.11.2023 and yes, sometimes things turn out differently than you think, the outdoor area is under construction, excavators and construction machinery have been at work since the beginning of November. But unfortunately the bar will not be finished this year, it will take a little longer and we have a little more breathing space, which we urgently need. Nevertheless, the anticipation is great and as the saying goes: “Good things take time”

“Good things take time”, that was our saying in 2024. And indeed it did! We have continued to discuss, discarded plans and haggled within the family about who will realize their idea. We redefined our plans and actually got started in November! New ideas come up every day, but at some point you have to commit yourself and make a decision. In the end, we weren’t much further apart with our ideas. We wistfully canceled the bar 🙁 But the rest of the concept remains the same and there will still be cocktails and cool drinks! There will be a very nice lobby, without a bar counter, but even nicer than originally planned! With lots of wood, true to the style of the hotel and yet a little different. There will also be a new canopy supported by a tree, which is my personal highlight! Now the terrace is finally being redesigned! I’m indulging in my dreams right now and can see the new entrance, lobby and terrace before my eyes as if it were already finished!
